2011 Homeless Count January 26th – call for volunteers
Lauren Nakano writes: We are ramping up to recruit 400 volunteers to assist throughout the South Bay with the 2011 Homeless Count on January 26th. This year we have seen a record increase in the number of cities who are “opting in” (doing a full count of all their neighborhoods.) This is very exciting; but in order to be successful we need to support each site with volunteers.

In order to make a difference in the lives of homeless men, women and children in the South Bay we need to know who and where they are … The 2011 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count is an opportunity for everyone throughout Los Angeles County to play a tremendous role in ending homelessness … The count is just the first step in helping to end homelessness … Data is Power!
